Tennessee Apiarist Mike Studer will be the featured guest speaker discussing “Invasive Species to be on the Lookout for and What Beekeepers Can be Doing Now.” He’ll also be taking questions from the audience. This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear the latest about TN honeybee concerns.
Mike has been keeping bees since 1972. He worked for the UT Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology Honey Bee Lab from 1996 to 2007 and has served as the TN State Apiarist since 2007. His responsibilities are vast including inspecting colonies, providing entry permits, approving colony relocations, apiary registrations, overseeing grants for beekeeping associations and collaborating on research, education and other regulatory issues.
