2019 NABA Advanced Workshop

The Nashville Area Beekeepers Association will be conducting an Advanced Beekeeping Workshop intended for advanced beginners and intermediate level beekeepers. The seminar will be on Saturday, January 19, in the 4th floor conference room in the Janet Ayers Academic Center on the campus of Belmont University. Directions to Belmont.

Featured instructors will be Dr. Clarence Collison (Mississippi State, retired), Jennifer Berry (University of Georgia) and our state apiarist for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Mike Studer.

These are some of the leading beekeeping experts in the United States. Want to take your beekeeping to a higher level?

  • If you are a beginner, this is a way to build on what you have learned so far.
  • If you are a 2nd or 3rd year beekeeper, this is perfect for you.
  • If you are a skilled beekeeper, this is your chance to learn from some of the country’s leading expert

Charge is $35, which includes lunch. For non-members of NABA, we encourage you to join our association for an additional cost of $10 per family. This gives you access to our monthly newsletter and many educational programs. Parking is free and convenient in the basement of the Ayres Academic Center in the building where the conference will be held. Park on Level P-1 and take the elevator.

Advance registration is closed. We will accept walk-ins at the door.

Vendors will be present for you to buy equipment and order bees. This includes Kelley Beekeeping and bee colony vendors. If you call Kelley they may be able to bring your advance order to the meeting.
